By: John Schulman | 09/01/18 06:40amIt’s no secret that the Toyota Prius has been a hit with the automotive industry over the past few years, especially with the crossover crossover model coming out in 2018.
The Japanese automaker also recently announced a new SUV, the all-electric Prius Plug-In, which will come with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and a 60 kWh battery.
As the Prius was one of the first vehicles to launch with the new 4.5-liter turbocharged inline four engine, it’s likely that Toyota will be making another plug-in version of the Priuz, as well.
If Toyota has an upcoming plug-ins that have similar specs, we’re looking forward to checking them out.
Toyota has been rumored to be working on an electric SUV called the Lexus ES, but we don’t know if the company is still working on the plug-up, and we can’t say for sure if the vehicle is going to be called a plug-and-play or plug-sharing vehicle.
Toyota is also rumored to have an electric version of its new Prius, the E-Tron.
While there’s no information on whether the car is going forward, we do know that the plug will likely be a version with the electric motor, which should make it more efficient than the previous models.
While we’re sure that we’ll see some electric vehicles from Toyota come out in the future, it may not be a matter of when.
What do you think of the rumored plug-ups?
Are there any that you’re looking at?
